The iconic Admiralty Arch in London, a landmark that has stood at the entrance to The Mall for over a century, is now home to a new luxury hotel. The transformation of the Grade I-listed building, which began several years ago, has reached a significant milestone with the opening of the hotel’s first phase.
Historic Landmark Reimagined
Admiralty Arch, originally commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria, has served various government functions since its completion in 1912. The structure, which connects Trafalgar Square to Buckingham Palace, is recognized for its architectural significance and prominent location.
The redevelopment project, led by Prime Investors Capital, has focused on preserving the building’s historical features while introducing modern amenities. The conversion includes luxury accommodations, private residences, and a members’ club, with further facilities expected to open in the coming months.
Hotel Features and Amenities
The newly opened hotel section offers 100 guest rooms and suites, each designed to blend contemporary comfort with the building’s original Edwardian details. Many rooms provide views of The Mall and nearby landmarks. The hotel also features a signature restaurant, a bar, and event spaces suitable for both private and corporate functions.
Additional amenities, such as a spa and wellness center, are scheduled to launch later this year. The property aims to attract both international visitors and local guests seeking a unique experience in the heart of London.
Future Plans and Public Access
The full completion of the Admiralty Arch redevelopment is anticipated by the end of the year. The project will eventually include a private members’ club and exclusive residences, in addition to the hotel and dining venues. Public access to certain areas of the building is expected to be available, allowing visitors to appreciate the restored interiors and historical significance of the site.
