Tourism Ireland has launched a campaign aimed at highlighting Ireland’s luxury tourism offerings to prominent US travel professionals. The initiative is designed to attract high-value visitors from the United States by showcasing premium experiences available across the country.
Engagement with US Travel Advisors
As part of this effort, Tourism Ireland recently hosted a group of influential US travel advisors on a familiarisation trip to Ireland. The advisors, representing various travel agencies, were given the opportunity to experience luxury accommodations, fine dining, and exclusive activities throughout their visit.
The itinerary included stays at renowned hotels and visits to notable attractions, providing the advisors with firsthand insight into the quality of Ireland’s high-end tourism sector. The trip was organised in collaboration with Fáilte Ireland and several local partners.
Focus on High-Value Tourism
According to Tourism Ireland, the United States remains one of the most important overseas markets for Irish tourism. The organisation aims to increase the number of affluent US travellers by promoting unique and upscale experiences that distinguish Ireland as a luxury destination.
Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America, stated, “Luxury travel is a growing segment, and our objective is to position Ireland as a premier choice for discerning US visitors seeking exceptional experiences.”
Strategic Partnerships and Future Plans
The familiarisation trip is part of a broader strategy to build relationships with key US travel advisors and encourage them to recommend Ireland to their clients. Tourism Ireland plans to continue working with industry partners to expand its presence in the luxury travel market and support the recovery of the tourism sector.
