On the tenth day of our luxury cross-country road trip, the route led from Flagstaff, Arizona, to Las Vegas, Nevada. The journey covered approximately 250 miles, offering a blend of scenic landscapes and notable stops along the way.
Departing Flagstaff
The day began in Flagstaff, where travelers enjoyed a morning in the cool mountain air before setting out. The drive departed from the city’s historic downtown, heading west on Interstate 40. The initial stretch featured views of the San Francisco Peaks and ponderosa pine forests, characteristic of northern Arizona.
Scenic Stops En Route

The approach to the Hoover Dam provided an opportunity to view the iconic structure, with a short detour allowing for photographs and a walk along the dam’s pedestrian paths. The surrounding Black Canyon and Colorado River vistas contributed to the day’s highlights.
Arrival in Las Vegas
The day concluded with arrival in Las Vegas, where accommodations were arranged at a luxury resort on the Strip. After checking in, travelers had the evening to explore the city’s dining options and entertainment venues.
