American Express has inaugurated its first Centurion Lounge in continental Europe, located at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. The new facility marks a significant expansion of the company’s premium airport lounge network within the region.
New Lounge Opens at Schiphol Airport
The Centurion Lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol is situated in the airport’s Terminal 3, near the D-pier. The space covers approximately 5,000 square feet and is designed to accommodate up to 150 guests. The lounge features locally inspired cuisine, a full-service bar, shower suites, and dedicated workspaces.
Exclusive Access for Cardholders
Entry to the Centurion Lounge is available exclusively to American Express Platinum and Centurion cardholders, as well as their eligible guests. According to American Express, the lounge’s design incorporates elements reflecting Dutch culture and the city’s heritage. The menu includes dishes created by local chefs, and the beverage selection highlights regional specialties.
Expansion of Centurion Lounge Network
With the opening of the Amsterdam location, American Express now operates more than 25 Centurion Lounges worldwide. The company has indicated plans to continue expanding its lounge network in key international airports. “We are excited to bring the Centurion Lounge experience to card members traveling through Amsterdam,” said Pablo Rivero, Vice President and General Manager of Global Lounge Experiences at American Express.
Additional Amenities and Services
In addition to food and beverages, the Amsterdam Centurion Lounge offers high-speed Wi-Fi, private phone rooms, and a selection of reading materials. Shower facilities are available for travelers seeking to refresh before their flights. The lounge is open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
