The Rosewood Hong Kong has been named the world’s leading hotel for the second year in a row, according to the World’s 50 Best Hotels ranking announced on Tuesday.
Rosewood Hong Kong Maintains First Place
The 2024 World’s 50 Best Hotels list, revealed at a ceremony in London, once again placed Rosewood Hong Kong at the top. The hotel, which opened in 2019, is located in the Victoria Dockside arts and design district on the Kowloon waterfront. It features 413 rooms and suites, along with 11 restaurants and bars.
“We are deeply honored to be recognized as the world’s best hotel for a second year,” said Rosewood Hong Kong managing director Hoss Vetry. “This achievement is a testament to our team’s dedication to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests.”
Other Hotels in the Top Five
Following Rosewood Hong Kong, the second spot was taken by Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River. The Upper House in Hong Kong secured third place, while Aman Tokyo and La Mamounia in Marrakech rounded out the top five.
Asia Dominates the Rankings
Asian hotels made a strong showing in this year’s list, with 18 properties featured in the top 50. Europe followed with 21 entries, while the Americas accounted for 11 hotels.

The World’s 50 Best Hotels list is compiled by an academy of 580 industry experts from around the world. The panel includes hoteliers, travel journalists, and luxury travel specialists, who each submit their top seven hotel choices based on their experiences over the past two years.
