Sri Lanka has been recognized as the ‘Luxury Food Destination of the Year’ at the Luxury Travel Awards held in the United Kingdom.
The award was presented during a ceremony that took place in London, where Sri Lanka was acknowledged for its culinary excellence and diverse gastronomic offerings.
The Luxury Travel Awards, which are organized annually, aim to celebrate and reward excellence in the travel and tourism sector, highlighting destinations that provide outstanding experiences to travelers.
Officials from the Sri Lankan High Commission in the UK accepted the award on behalf of the country. The recognition is expected to further enhance Sri Lanka’s profile as a premier destination for luxury travel and gourmet cuisine.
