Trafalgar has introduced two new river cruise ships, marking the company’s entry into the river cruising sector. The vessels, named the MS Estrela and the MS Douro Splendour, are set to operate on Portugal’s Douro River.
Details of the New Ships
The MS Estrela and MS Douro Splendour each have a capacity for 123 guests and feature 62 cabins. Both ships are equipped with a sun deck, swimming pool, panoramic lounge, and a restaurant. The cabins include French balconies and modern amenities.
Itineraries and Destinations
The ships will offer eight-day cruises along the Douro River, with stops in Porto, Régua, Pinhão, and Barca d’Alva. The itineraries include guided tours of local vineyards, historic towns, and UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Onboard Experience
Guests can expect locally inspired cuisine and regional wines served on board. The ships also provide entertainment and enrichment activities, such as traditional music performances and cooking demonstrations.
