Capella Hotels and Resorts, a luxury hospitality brand based in Asia, has announced plans to expand its portfolio significantly by 2030. The company intends to double its number of properties, with new openings scheduled in Florence, Italy, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the beginning of this growth strategy.
Expansion Plans Target Key International Destinations
The Singapore-headquartered Capella Hotels currently operates eight properties across Asia and Europe. The brand has set a goal to reach 18 hotels and resorts worldwide by the end of the decade. The upcoming launches in Florence and Riyadh are expected to be completed within the next two years, according to the company.
“Our vision is to bring Capella’s unique brand of hospitality to more destinations globally, while maintaining the highest standards of luxury and personalized service,” said Cristiano Rinaldi, President of Capella Hotel Group.
Florence and Riyadh to Host New Capella Hotels
The Florence property, set to open in 2024, will be located in a restored 19th-century villa near the city center. The Riyadh hotel is scheduled to welcome guests in 2025 and will be situated in the King Abdullah Financial District, a major business and lifestyle hub in the Saudi capital.
Capella’s expansion aligns with broader trends in the luxury hospitality sector, as demand for high-end travel experiences continues to grow in both established and emerging markets.
Current Portfolio and Future Growth
Capella Hotels and Resorts currently operates properties in Singapore, Bangkok, Hanoi, Ubud, Shanghai, Sanya, Düsseldorf, and Sydney. The company has indicated that further announcements regarding new locations are expected in the coming months.
