An upscale Mexican dining establishment is preparing to open its doors in Birmingham’s Parkside District, bringing a new culinary option to the area.
Located at 2118 7th Ave. South, the restaurant will occupy the space previously held by Blueprint on 3rd. The new venue, named La Sabrosita, is scheduled to open in mid-June, according to the owners.
La Sabrosita will offer a menu focused on modern Mexican cuisine, featuring dishes such as tacos, ceviche, and house-made salsas. The restaurant will also include a full-service bar with a selection of tequilas and mezcals.
“We’re excited to bring a fresh take on Mexican food to Birmingham,” said co-owner Maria Gonzalez. “Our goal is to provide a unique dining experience that highlights the flavors and traditions of Mexico, using high-quality ingredients.”
The restaurant’s interior has been renovated to create a contemporary atmosphere, with seating for approximately 120 guests. Plans include both indoor and outdoor dining areas.
La Sabrosita’s opening adds to the growing list of restaurants and entertainment venues in the Parkside District, an area that has seen significant development in recent years.
