Homebuilder Taylor Morrison has announced plans to construct 400 new residences as part of the Pinewalk community, located near St. Johns. This expansion is set to increase the size of the residential project, which is situated off County Road 210 in St. Johns County.
The Pinewalk development, which was initially approved for 800 homes, will now feature a total of 1,200 single-family residences following the addition. Taylor Morrison acquired the 400-acre property in 2022 and began construction on the first phase of homes earlier this year.
According to Taylor Morrison, the new phase will include a variety of home designs and floor plans to accommodate different buyer preferences. The company stated that amenities such as parks, walking trails, and recreational facilities will be incorporated into the expanded community.
“We are excited to bring additional housing options to the St. Johns area and continue our commitment to quality homebuilding,” said Joe Fontana, Division President for Taylor Morrison in Northeast Florida.
The Pinewalk project is located in proximity to schools, shopping centers, and major roadways, making it a convenient location for residents. St. Johns County has experienced significant population growth in recent years, contributing to increased demand for new housing developments.
Construction on the new homes is expected to begin later this year, with sales anticipated to start in early 2025. Taylor Morrison has not yet released pricing information for the upcoming phase.
