South Carolina is set to open its inaugural JW Marriott hotel, introducing a new level of luxury hospitality to the state. The new property will be located in downtown Greenville, marking a significant addition to the city’s hotel offerings.

The JW Marriott Greenville is planned for 250 Riverplace, situated along the Reedy River in the heart of downtown. The site is currently occupied by a parking lot near the Peace Center and the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Construction is expected to begin later this year, with the hotel projected to open in 2026.
Features and Amenities
The hotel will feature 220 guest rooms and suites, as well as a rooftop bar and restaurant. Plans also include a spa, fitness center, and more than 15,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The property aims to attract both leisure and business travelers, according to developers.

The project is being developed by Centennial American Properties, a Greenville-based company. The estimated investment for the hotel is $110 million. The company stated that the addition of a JW Marriott will enhance Greenville’s reputation as a destination for luxury accommodations.
