Sam Fox, the founder of Fox Restaurant Concepts, has announced his departure from the company to dedicate his efforts to the luxury hotel sector. Fox, who established the restaurant group in 1998, revealed that he will now focus exclusively on his hospitality brand, The Global Ambassador.
Transition to Hospitality Industry
Fox Restaurant Concepts, known for developing brands such as Flower Child, Culinary Dropout, and North Italia, was acquired by The Cheesecake Factory in 2019 for $308 million. Following the acquisition, Fox remained involved with the company, helping to oversee operations and brand development. However, Fox has now decided to step away from the restaurant group to concentrate on expanding his hotel business.
Focus on The Global Ambassador
Fox’s new venture, The Global Ambassador, is a luxury hotel located in Phoenix, Arizona. The hotel, which opened in December 2023, features 141 rooms and five restaurants. Fox has indicated that he plans to grow The Global Ambassador brand, with additional locations under consideration.
