New Zealand is set to welcome its inaugural St. Regis hotel, marking the luxury brand’s debut in the country. The new property is scheduled to open in 2027 in Auckland’s central business district.
The St. Regis Auckland will be situated within a 195-room development on Albert Street. The hotel will occupy the lower levels of a mixed-use tower, with residential apartments located above. The project is being developed by Ninety Four Feet, an Australian property group, in partnership with Marriott International, which manages the St. Regis brand.
Richard Crawford, Vice President of Hotel Development for Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific at Marriott International, stated, “We are delighted to announce the signing of The St. Regis Auckland, which will introduce the brand’s signature butler service and refined luxury to New Zealand for the first time.”
The hotel will feature a range of amenities, including a specialty restaurant, a bar, a fitness center, and an indoor swimming pool. Event facilities will include meeting rooms and a ballroom designed to accommodate various functions and gatherings.
Construction of the St. Regis Auckland is expected to begin in 2024, with completion targeted for 2027. The development aims to contribute to Auckland’s hospitality sector and attract both international and domestic travelers seeking luxury accommodation.
