The Four Seasons brand, widely recognized for its luxury hotels and resorts, is preparing to introduce its first yacht, marking a new chapter in high-end travel. The vessel, which is set to embark on its maiden journey in 2025, aims to provide an experience distinct from traditional cruises.
Redefining Luxury at Sea
According to the company, the Four Seasons Yacht is designed to resemble a private yacht rather than a conventional cruise ship. The ship will feature 95 suites, each with floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive terraces. The largest suite, known as the Funnel Suite, will span four levels and offer more than 9,600 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor living space.
“We are not building a cruise ship. We are building a yacht,” said Larry Pimentel, President and CEO of Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, which is overseeing the project in partnership with Four Seasons. “This is about privacy, exclusivity, and a level of service that is unmatched.”
Onboard Amenities and Features
The yacht will offer a range of amenities, including a spa, a transverse marina for water sports, and a 66-foot pool. Dining options will include restaurants curated by Four Seasons chefs, as well as bars and lounges. The company states that the yacht will have a crew-to-guest ratio of nearly one-to-one, aiming to deliver personalized service throughout the voyage.
Among the unique features is the marina, which will allow guests direct access to the sea for swimming, snorkeling, and other activities. The ship’s design also includes a dedicated space for art exhibitions and cultural events.
Itinerary and Destinations
The Four Seasons Yacht is scheduled to sail its first routes in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Destinations will include stops in Croatia, Italy, Spain, and the Greek Isles, as well as Caribbean locations such as St. Barths and Barbados. The company has indicated that itineraries will be flexible, with the ability to adjust routes based on guest preferences and local events.
Reservations and Pricing
Bookings for the inaugural season are now open. Prices for suites start at $2,500 per person per night, with the Funnel Suite commanding a higher rate. The company reports strong interest, with several voyages already nearing capacity.
Industry Context
The launch of the Four Seasons Yacht comes as luxury travel providers seek to expand their offerings beyond traditional hotels and resorts. Other hospitality brands, including Ritz-Carlton and Aman, have also announced plans to enter the yacht and cruise market.
