IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to manage six of its Luxury & Lifestyle brands in Saudi Arabia by 2028, according to a senior company representative.
Haitham Mattar, Managing Director for India, Middle East & Africa at IHG Hotels & Resorts, shared that the company is committed to expanding its presence in the Kingdom. He noted that the group currently operates three Luxury & Lifestyle brands in Saudi Arabia, with plans to introduce three additional brands over the next four years.
Expansion Strategy in Saudi Arabia
Mattar explained that IHG’s strategy aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy and boost the tourism sector. He stated, “We are proud to support the Kingdom’s ambitions by bringing more of our Luxury & Lifestyle brands to the market.”
IHG’s current portfolio in Saudi Arabia includes InterContinental, Voco, and Hotel Indigo. The company plans to launch Kimpton, Regent, and Six Senses brands in the country by 2028.
Current and Future Developments
The group has signed several agreements with local partners to facilitate the introduction of these new brands. Mattar highlighted that IHG is working closely with stakeholders to ensure that the upcoming properties meet international standards and cater to the evolving needs of travelers.
He added, “Our goal is to deliver exceptional experiences for guests while contributing to the growth of the hospitality sector in Saudi Arabia.”
