IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of an agreement to introduce the Hotel Indigo brand in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital. The new property, Hotel Indigo Cairo New Capital, is scheduled to open in 2026.
Strategic Expansion in Egypt
The upcoming Hotel Indigo Cairo New Capital will be located in the heart of the New Administrative Capital, a major development project situated east of Cairo. The hotel will offer 200 rooms and will feature amenities including a fitness center, meeting spaces, and multiple dining options.
Partnership Details
The agreement was signed with Al Batal Developments, a real estate company based in Egypt. Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, India, Middle East & Africa at IHG Hotels & Resorts, stated, “We are delighted to partner with Al Batal Developments to bring Hotel Indigo to Egypt’s New Administrative Capital. This project is a significant step in our regional growth strategy.”

Hotel Indigo Cairo New Capital will provide guests with a range of services, including a rooftop pool, a spa, and a business center. The hotel will also offer easy access to government buildings, business districts, and cultural attractions within the New Administrative Capital.

IHG Hotels & Resorts currently operates several Hotel Indigo properties across the Middle East, with additional hotels under development. The company aims to expand its presence in Egypt and the wider region through new projects and partnerships.
