A new restaurant, Mack Allen’s, is preparing to open in Uptown Houston with ambitions to rank among the city’s largest fine dining venues.
Upcoming Opening in Uptown
Mack Allen’s is scheduled to launch in the fall at 1800 Post Oak Blvd., occupying a 14,000-square-foot space. The restaurant will be located in the former site of Willie G’s Seafood, which closed in 2019. The venue is expected to accommodate up to 400 guests, making it one of the most spacious fine dining establishments in Houston.
Concept and Menu
The restaurant will offer a menu centered around steak and seafood, with a focus on high-quality ingredients and classic preparations. Mack Allen’s will also feature a raw bar and an extensive wine list. The interior design is planned to include private dining rooms, a large main dining area, and a bar.
Leadership and Vision
Chef Mark Holley, known for his work at Pesce and Holley’s Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar, will serve as the executive chef. Holley stated, “We want to create a place where people can celebrate special occasions or enjoy a great meal any night of the week.” The restaurant is named in honor of Holley’s late father, Mack Allen Holley.
Location and Accessibility
Mack Allen’s will be situated in the Uptown Park area, a district recognized for its shopping and dining options. The restaurant’s proximity to major hotels and office buildings is expected to attract both local residents and visitors.
Anticipated Impact
With its significant seating capacity and upscale menu, Mack Allen’s aims to establish itself as a prominent destination in Houston’s dining scene. The restaurant’s opening is anticipated to contribute to the ongoing growth of the Uptown area.
