A new boutique hotel valued at $50 million is set to be developed within Frisco’s Firefly Park, accompanied by new retail offerings. The project marks the latest addition to the expansive mixed-use development located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 380 and the Dallas North Tollway.
Boutique Hotel Plans Announced
The planned hotel, named Dream Frisco, will be constructed by Dream Hotel Group, a subsidiary of Hyatt Hotels Corp. The property is expected to include 200 guest rooms and suites, as well as multiple dining and nightlife venues. The hotel will also offer a rooftop pool deck and event space, according to the developers.
“We are thrilled to bring Dream Frisco to Firefly Park and to the city of Frisco,” said Jay Stein, CEO of Dream Hotel Group. “This project will be a vibrant addition to the area and will offer a unique hospitality experience.”
Expansion of Retail and Dining
In addition to the hotel, Firefly Park will see the introduction of new retail and restaurant spaces. The development is designed to include a variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment options, with the goal of creating a walkable urban environment.
Firefly Park is being developed by Wilks Development, which has outlined plans for more than 4,000 residential units, office space, and public parks within the 230-acre site. The project aims to provide a blend of residential, commercial, and recreational amenities.
Development Timeline and Location
Construction on Dream Frisco is scheduled to begin in 2024, with the hotel expected to open its doors in 2026. The hotel and retail additions will be situated within the larger Firefly Park development, which is located in one of Frisco’s rapidly growing corridors.
