A new fine dining establishment is preparing to open its doors in the Short North, bringing an upscale culinary experience to the neighborhood.
The restaurant, which has not yet announced its official name, is expected to begin operations soon at 698 N. High St. in Columbus. The location was previously occupied by the eatery known as The Table, which closed in 2022.
According to representatives, the new restaurant aims to offer a menu focused on contemporary American cuisine, featuring locally sourced ingredients and seasonal dishes. The culinary team plans to emphasize both classic and innovative preparations, with a rotating selection of entrees and small plates.
The interior of the venue has undergone significant renovations, including updates to the dining area and kitchen. The design incorporates modern elements while retaining some of the building’s original architectural features. Seating capacity will accommodate approximately 80 guests, with additional space available for private events.
Restaurant management has indicated that the wine and cocktail program will be a key component of the dining experience. The beverage menu is expected to include a curated list of wines from domestic and international producers, as well as specialty cocktails crafted by an in-house mixologist.
Hiring for various positions, including front-of-house and kitchen staff, is currently underway. The restaurant is also planning to host a series of soft opening events prior to its official launch, with details to be announced in the coming weeks.
