AmaWaterways has announced the appointment of Steve Spivak as its new Chief Commercial Officer. The river cruise company made the announcement on June 18, 2024, stating that Spivak will oversee global sales, marketing, and revenue management operations.
Spivak has been with AmaWaterways since 2013, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Sales. In his new capacity, he will report directly to company co-founders Rudi Schreiner and Kristin Karst. According to the company, Spivak will be responsible for leading commercial strategy and supporting the company’s continued growth in international markets.
“Steve’s dedication and leadership have been instrumental in strengthening our relationships with travel advisors and partners worldwide,” said Schreiner. “We are confident that his expanded role will help drive our commercial initiatives and further enhance our brand’s presence globally.”
Spivak expressed enthusiasm about his new responsibilities, stating, “I am honored to take on this new role and look forward to working with our talented team to continue delivering exceptional experiences for our guests and partners.”
AmaWaterways operates a fleet of river cruise ships across Europe, Asia, and Africa. The company has recently expanded its offerings, including new itineraries and ships, as part of its strategy to attract a broader range of travelers.
