A woman and her son have been taken into custody, accused of stealing more than $620,000 from a business in Medley to fund a lavish lifestyle, according to law enforcement officials.
Allegations of Embezzlement
Police state that the suspects, identified as 55-year-old Maria Rodriguez and her 27-year-old son, Daniel Rodriguez, are alleged to have misappropriated company funds while employed at the business. Investigators claim the pair used the stolen money to purchase luxury vehicles, designer goods, and to cover personal expenses.

According to authorities, the investigation began after the business owner noticed irregularities in the company’s financial records. Further examination revealed that over $620,000 had been diverted from company accounts over a period of several years.
