The Waldorf Astoria brand is set to establish a presence in Miami Beach, with a new property scheduled to open in the winter of 2027. This development marks the brand’s second location in the Miami area, following the Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences Miami, which is currently under construction in downtown Miami.
Details of the Upcoming Property
The forthcoming Waldorf Astoria Miami Beach will be situated at 3000 Collins Avenue. The hotel will offer 200 guest rooms and suites, along with 80 private residences. The property is expected to feature a range of amenities, including a signature restaurant, indoor and outdoor bars, a spa, a fitness center, and a pool deck. Additionally, the hotel will provide meeting and event spaces for guests and visitors.
Development and Design
The project is being developed by the Miami-based firm PMG, in partnership with S2 Development and Hilton. The design of the property will be led by Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design, with interiors by BAMO. The developers have indicated that the design will reflect the brand’s classic style while incorporating elements inspired by Miami Beach’s Art Deco heritage.
Statements from Project Leaders
Kevin Maloney, founder and CEO of PMG, stated, “We are excited to bring the Waldorf Astoria brand to Miami Beach, offering a new level of luxury and hospitality to the area.” Danny Serfer, co-founder of S2 Development, added, “This project represents a significant milestone for Miami Beach and will set a new standard for the region.”
Brand Expansion in Miami
The Waldorf Astoria Miami Beach will join the brand’s expanding portfolio in South Florida. The downtown Miami property, which is currently under construction, is expected to become one of the tallest buildings in the city upon completion. The addition of the Miami Beach location is anticipated to further strengthen the brand’s presence in the region.
Opening Timeline
The Waldorf Astoria Miami Beach is projected to open its doors to guests in the winter of 2027. Further updates on the development and opening will be provided as the project progresses.
