Sake Manila, a prominent event in the luxury lifestyle sector, has elevated the standard for high-end gatherings in the Philippines. The event, which took place at the Grand Ballroom of the Okada Manila, brought together leading figures from the hospitality, food, and beverage industries, as well as sake enthusiasts and connoisseurs.
This year’s Sake Manila showcased more than 200 varieties of sake from over 40 breweries across Japan. Attendees had the opportunity to sample a diverse range of sake, including rare and premium labels, while engaging with sake brewers and experts who shared insights into the craft and culture behind the beverage.
According to the organizers, the event aimed to foster appreciation for Japanese sake and promote cultural exchange between Japan and the Philippines. “Sake Manila is not just a tasting event; it’s a platform for education and connection,” said one of the event’s coordinators. “We want to deepen the understanding of sake and its role in Japanese tradition, while also supporting the growth of the local hospitality industry.”
In addition to sake tasting, the event featured food pairings curated by renowned chefs, live demonstrations, and masterclasses on sake production and tasting techniques. These activities were designed to enhance the experience for both industry professionals and casual attendees, providing a comprehensive introduction to the world of sake.
Sake Manila has established itself as a key event for those interested in luxury lifestyle and fine beverages in the region. Organizers expressed their intention to continue expanding the event in the coming years, with the goal of further strengthening ties between Japanese and Filipino communities through shared appreciation of sake culture.
