Grant Thompson has been selected as the General Manager of the InterContinental Halong Bay Resort, a property managed by IHG Hotels & Resorts. The appointment was announced recently and marks a new leadership chapter for the resort.
Thompson brings over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to his new role. He has held various senior management positions across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, working with several international hotel brands. His expertise spans hotel operations, food and beverage, and guest services.
Prior to joining InterContinental Halong Bay Resort, Thompson served as General Manager at multiple IHG properties. He has a track record of leading teams to achieve operational excellence and delivering high standards of guest satisfaction. Thompson is recognized for his commitment to staff development and fostering a positive workplace culture.
In his new position, Thompson will oversee all aspects of the resort’s operations, including guest services, food and beverage, and overall guest experience. He will also be responsible for implementing IHG’s brand standards and supporting the resort’s strategic growth in the region.
