A new luxury hotel is set to be developed in the heart of Downtown, according to plans announced on Monday. The project aims to offer high-end accommodations and amenities to both business and leisure travelers visiting the city.
The proposed hotel will be located at the intersection of Main Street and 5th Avenue, a site currently occupied by a vacant office building. Developers have stated that the new structure will feature 200 guest rooms, a rooftop restaurant, a fitness center, and multiple event spaces.
Construction is expected to begin in early 2025, pending approval from city officials. The development is projected to create approximately 150 construction jobs and 80 permanent positions once the hotel is operational.
“We are excited to bring a new level of hospitality to Downtown,” said project spokesperson Emily Carter. “Our goal is to contribute to the area’s ongoing revitalization and provide a destination for visitors and locals alike.”
The hotel’s design will incorporate modern architectural elements while complementing the surrounding historic buildings. Renderings released by the developers show a glass façade with landscaped terraces and public art installations planned for the exterior.
City council members are scheduled to review the proposal at their next meeting. If approved, the hotel is expected to open its doors in late 2026.
