The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar has appointed Steven J. Smith as its new Managing Director, according to an announcement made by the resort.
Smith brings more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality sector to his new position. Prior to joining Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, he held leadership roles at several luxury hotels and resorts across North America and the Caribbean.
In his new capacity, Smith will oversee all aspects of operations at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, which is located in Nassau, The Bahamas. The resort is part of the larger Baha Mar resort destination, which also includes SLS Baha Mar and Rosewood Baha Mar.

Smith’s appointment comes as the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar continues to expand its offerings and enhance its guest services. The resort features over 1,800 guest rooms, suites, and residences, as well as a variety of dining venues, a casino, and event spaces.
