Luxury travel demand remains steady even as conflicts persist in the Middle East, according to Virtuoso General Manager for Australia and New Zealand, Fiona Glading. Glading commented that there has been no indication of a slowdown in the high-end travel segment, with bookings continuing as usual.
Luxury Travel Market Remains Resilient
Speaking at the Virtuoso Forum in Sydney, Glading noted, “We have not seen any softening in the luxury travel space.” She emphasized that the ongoing geopolitical situation in the Middle East has not led to a decrease in bookings or inquiries from clients seeking premium travel experiences.
Glading further stated, “Our advisors are still seeing strong demand, and clients are continuing to book and travel as planned.” She highlighted that travelers in the luxury sector are maintaining their travel plans, despite uncertainties in the region.
Travel Advisors Report Steady Bookings
According to Glading, Virtuoso’s network of travel advisors across Australia and New Zealand has not observed any significant changes in customer behavior. She explained that while some travelers may have questions about safety and logistics, these concerns have not translated into cancellations or reduced interest in luxury travel.
“Advisors are well-equipped to address client concerns and provide up-to-date information,” Glading said. She added that the organization continues to monitor the situation closely and supports its advisors in delivering guidance to travelers.
Ongoing Monitoring and Support
Virtuoso remains attentive to developments in the Middle East, ensuring that its advisors have access to the latest updates and resources. Glading reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting both advisors and travelers during periods of uncertainty.
