Omni Hotels & Resorts has commenced construction on a new luxury hotel in Midland, Texas, marking the beginning of a project that will introduce 143 upscale guest rooms to the area. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on June 6, 2024, and was attended by local officials, business leaders, and representatives from Omni Hotels & Resorts.
Project Details and Features
The upcoming hotel will be located at 11700 W. Highway 191, offering convenient access to both Midland and Odessa. The property is designed to cater to business and leisure travelers, featuring a range of amenities including a full-service restaurant, a rooftop bar, and over 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space.
Additional amenities will include a fitness center, an outdoor pool, and a coffee shop. The hotel’s design will reflect the character of West Texas, incorporating locally inspired elements throughout its interior and exterior spaces.

Economic Impact and Timeline
The construction of the hotel is expected to generate approximately 200 jobs during the building phase and create more than 100 permanent positions once operational. The project is scheduled for completion in late 2025.
