Oceania Cruises has announced the order of a second ship in its Sonata Class series, expanding its fleet with another new vessel. The cruise line confirmed that this new ship is scheduled for delivery in 2027.
The Sonata Class, introduced by Oceania Cruises, represents the company’s latest generation of ships. The first vessel in this class, named Allura, is currently under construction and is expected to enter service in 2025.
According to Oceania Cruises, the newly ordered ship will be constructed at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. The vessel will accommodate approximately 1,200 guests and will feature the line’s signature culinary and destination-focused experiences.

Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises, stated, “The addition of a second Sonata Class ship underscores our commitment to innovation and growth within the upper-premium cruise sector.” He added that the new vessel will continue to deliver the high standards of comfort and service for which the brand is known.
Oceania Cruises currently operates a fleet of seven ships, offering itineraries that visit more than 600 destinations worldwide. The company noted that the expansion with the Sonata Class ships is part of its long-term strategy to enhance guest experiences and broaden its global reach.
