A woman staying at a luxury hotel was surprised to discover that the bathroom in her suite featured a transparent glass wall, providing her with an unobstructed view of her husband using the toilet.
According to the guest, she and her husband had booked a high-end room expecting privacy and comfort. However, upon entering the suite, they realized that the bathroom was separated from the main living area by a floor-to-ceiling clear glass partition. This design offered no visual barrier between the toilet and the rest of the room.
The guest recounted, “We were looking forward to a relaxing stay, but the see-through bathroom was not what we anticipated. There was no way to use the toilet privately.”
She added that the situation led to an awkward moment when her husband needed to use the restroom, as she could see him clearly from the bed. The couple attempted to find a solution, such as hanging towels over the glass, but these efforts did not provide adequate coverage.
The hotel’s management explained that the transparent bathroom design was intended to create a modern, open-concept atmosphere. A representative stated, “Our suites are designed to offer a unique and contemporary experience for our guests. We encourage anyone with privacy concerns to contact the front desk for assistance.”
Despite the hotel’s intention to provide a stylish environment, the guest said the clear glass wall detracted from their overall comfort during the stay. She mentioned, “We understand the desire for a modern look, but some things are best kept private.”
The couple ultimately completed their stay but noted that the bathroom design would influence their decision when booking future accommodations.
