A new hospitality project, One Hotel and Homes Hudson Valley, is planned to open in 2028, introducing a sustainable luxury resort and residential development in New York’s scenic Hudson Valley.
Eco-Conscious Resort and Residences
The upcoming property will be located on a 1,400-acre site, offering both hotel accommodations and private residences. The development aims to blend environmentally responsible design with upscale amenities, according to project representatives.
One Hotel and Homes Hudson Valley will feature 160 guest rooms and suites, as well as 60 branded residences. The project is being developed by SH Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of Starwood Capital Group, in partnership with the real estate firm MCR.
Focus on Sustainability
The resort’s design incorporates sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems. Plans include the use of reclaimed wood, native landscaping, and renewable energy sources. The property will also provide farm-to-table dining options, wellness facilities, and outdoor recreational activities.
Barry Sternlicht, Chairman of Starwood Capital Group, stated, “We are excited to bring our mission of sustainability and luxury to the Hudson Valley, a region known for its natural beauty and vibrant communities.”
Location and Accessibility
Situated near the town of Saugerties, the development is expected to attract visitors seeking a retreat within driving distance of New York City. The site is positioned to offer views of the Catskill Mountains and access to local attractions.
Anticipated Opening and Project Timeline
Construction is set to begin in 2025, with the opening targeted for 2028. The developers have indicated that the project will create jobs in construction, hospitality, and related sectors in the region.
