Hyatt Hotels Corporation has unveiled plans for a new luxury destination in Mendoza, Argentina: Casa Duhau. Set to open in late 2027, this property will be the first in Argentina to join The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, a portfolio known for its unique and story-worthy hotels. Located in the prestigious Reserva Alto Agrelo development, Casa Duhau aims to offer guests an immersive experience that combines luxury accommodations with the rich culture of Argentina’s renowned wine region.
The hotel will feature 52 accommodations, including 40 private villas strategically positioned to provide panoramic views of the Andes Mountains, and 12 suites housed within the main building. Guests can expect top-tier amenities such as two signature restaurants, a state-of-the-art spa, a fitness center, a swimming pool, modern meeting rooms, and expansive event spaces. The design of Casa Duhau is a collaborative effort, with architectural design by BMA ARQS, interior design by Martín Zanotti Studio, and landscape design by Fernando González, ensuring that the property harmoniously blends with its natural surroundings.
Beyond the hotel itself, the Reserva Alto Agrelo development spans nearly 1,000 acres and includes a premium boutique winery, Bodega Agrelia, and an equestrian club named Casa David – Wine & Horses. Bodega Agrelia will benefit from the expertise of renowned winemakers Michel Rolland and Marcelo Pelleriti, offering guests exclusive wine tastings and insights into the winemaking process. Casa David will provide advanced facilities for horse training and care, catering to equestrian enthusiasts.
Cristiano Goncalves, Vice President of Development for South America & the Caribbean at Hyatt, expressed enthusiasm about the project: “This is a landmark project for The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, bringing new experiences and opportunities for both travelers and locals in Mendoza. Casa Duhau will be an extraordinary addition to our portfolio, perfectly aligning with the growing demand for unique luxury experiences within world-class destinations.”
Casa Duhau will join Hyatt’s existing luxury properties in Argentina, including the Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires and Park Hyatt Mendoza, further solidifying the company’s commitment to providing exceptional hospitality experiences in the region.
