Wagyu House is preparing to open a new restaurant in the space previously occupied by Din Tai Fung at Lincoln Square in Bellevue. The move comes after Din Tai Fung closed its Lincoln Square location in March, following the expiration of its lease.
According to Lincoln Square’s leasing team, Wagyu House has signed a lease for the 8,200-square-foot space at 500 Bellevue Way NE. The restaurant will be situated on the second floor of Lincoln Square North, adjacent to the W Hotel and near Bellevue Square.
Wagyu House is known for its Japanese-style barbecue, featuring high-quality wagyu beef and a variety of other menu items. The restaurant currently operates several locations in California and Texas, and the Bellevue site will be its first in Washington state.
Representatives from Wagyu House have not yet announced an official opening date for the Bellevue restaurant. However, signage at the location indicates that renovations are underway, with plans to open later this year.
Din Tai Fung, a Taiwanese restaurant chain specializing in soup dumplings and noodles, continues to operate its other locations in the Seattle area, including at University Village and Southcenter Mall.
