Wagyu House is preparing to open in the space previously occupied by Din Tai Fung at Lincoln Square in Bellevue. The new restaurant will take over the location at 500 Bellevue Way NE, Suite 220, following Din Tai Fung’s closure at the site in February.
Din Tai Fung, known for its Taiwanese dumplings, closed its Lincoln Square location after more than a decade of operation. The company cited lease expiration as the reason for the closure, while its other locations in the region remain open.
Wagyu House, operated by the Los Angeles-based restaurant group Haidilao, specializes in Japanese-style barbecue featuring premium Wagyu beef. The restaurant group has expanded its presence in the United States in recent years, with several locations in California and Texas.
The Bellevue Wagyu House will occupy the 8,200-square-foot space that Din Tai Fung vacated. The opening date for the new restaurant has not yet been announced.
Lincoln Square, a mixed-use development in downtown Bellevue, continues to attract new dining and retail tenants. The addition of Wagyu House is expected to bring a new dining option to the area, which has seen several recent restaurant openings and closures.
