Celebrity chef Curtis Stone has announced plans to open his inaugural Australian restaurant in Sydney. The new venue will mark Stone’s first foray into the Australian dining scene, despite his international acclaim and established presence in the United States.
Stone, who has built a reputation through his Los Angeles-based restaurants Maude and Gwen, revealed that the Sydney establishment is scheduled to open its doors in 2025. The restaurant’s exact location within Sydney has not yet been disclosed.
“It’s a dream come true to finally open a restaurant in my home country,” Stone said. “Sydney’s culinary scene is vibrant and innovative, and I’m excited to contribute to it.”
The chef, originally from Melbourne, has achieved significant recognition overseas, including earning a Michelin star for Maude. Stone’s culinary career has also included numerous television appearances and cookbook publications.
Further details regarding the restaurant’s concept, menu, and design have not been released. Stone indicated that more information will be shared as the opening date approaches.
