A new upscale restaurant is scheduled to open in the building that previously housed a Western apparel store in Mandan. The site, located at 105 W Main St., was most recently occupied by Dakota Leather Outlet, which closed its doors in 2022.
According to the restaurant’s owners, the new venue will offer a fine-dining experience with a menu focused on locally sourced ingredients. The establishment aims to provide a unique culinary option for residents and visitors in the Mandan area.
Renovations to the historic building are currently underway. The owners have indicated that they plan to preserve several original architectural features while updating the interior to accommodate the needs of a modern restaurant. The anticipated opening date is set for late summer, though an exact date has not yet been announced.
“We are excited to bring something new to downtown Mandan and to be part of the community’s growth,” said one of the owners. The team behind the restaurant has prior experience in the hospitality industry and expressed confidence that the new establishment will attract both local diners and tourists.
The building at 105 W Main St. has a long history in Mandan, having served various retail purposes over the years. The new restaurant’s opening is expected to contribute to the ongoing revitalization of the downtown area.
