Nobu Hospitality has revealed its intention to open the Nobu Hotel and Restaurant San Juan, marking the brand’s inaugural venture in Puerto Rico. This new property will be situated in the city of San Juan, expanding Nobu’s presence in the Caribbean region.
New Addition to Nobu’s Global Portfolio
The forthcoming Nobu Hotel and Restaurant San Juan is expected to feature 225 guest rooms and suites, along with a signature Nobu restaurant. The development will also include a range of amenities such as a rooftop bar, a wellness center, and event spaces designed to accommodate both leisure and business travelers.
Strategic Expansion in the Caribbean
Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality, stated, “We are delighted to announce our first hotel and restaurant in Puerto Rico, a destination that shares our passion for hospitality and culinary excellence.” He added that the new property will offer guests the distinctive Nobu experience while embracing the local culture and environment.
Collaboration with Local Partners
The project is being developed in partnership with PRISA Group and McConnell Valdés Consulting. Federico Stubbe Jr., President of PRISA Group, commented, “We are excited to collaborate with Nobu Hospitality to bring this world-class brand to San Juan.” He emphasized the significance of the project for the local tourism sector and its potential to attract international visitors.
Projected Opening and Future Developments
The Nobu Hotel and Restaurant San Juan is scheduled to open in 2026. The announcement is part of Nobu Hospitality’s ongoing global expansion, with additional properties planned in various international markets.
