Dante, the renowned cocktail bar originally based in New York’s Greenwich Village, has opened a new location at Claridge’s in London. The move marks the first international expansion for the bar, which has earned global recognition for its innovative drinks and hospitality.
The London outpost of Dante is situated within Claridge’s, a historic hotel in Mayfair. The bar began welcoming guests this week, offering a menu that features both classic cocktails and original creations. Signature drinks from the New York location, such as the Garibaldi and the Negroni Sessions, are included alongside new offerings developed specifically for the London clientele.
Dante’s co-owner, Linden Pride, commented on the opening, stating, “We are thrilled to bring Dante to London and to be part of Claridge’s storied history. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment and to share our passion for hospitality and cocktails with guests from around the world.”
The bar’s design incorporates elements inspired by both its New York heritage and its new London setting. The interior features marble accents, dark wood, and a color palette that reflects the original Greenwich Village location, while also complementing Claridge’s Art Deco architecture.
Claridge’s General Manager, Paul Jackson, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “Dante’s arrival is an exciting addition to Claridge’s. Their reputation for excellence aligns with our commitment to providing exceptional experiences for our guests.”
Dante has received numerous accolades, including being named the World’s Best Bar in 2019 by The World’s 50 Best Bars. The opening at Claridge’s represents a significant step in the bar’s growth and international presence.
