Eighteen hotels located in the North Bay region have been recognized with Michelin Keys, a distinction awarded by the Michelin Guide to honor exceptional hospitality establishments. The announcement was made as part of Michelin’s inaugural hotel awards in the United States.
Michelin’s New Hotel Recognition Program
The Michelin Guide, widely known for its restaurant ratings, has introduced the Michelin Keys to acknowledge hotels that provide outstanding guest experiences. The program evaluates hotels based on five criteria: architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, overall personality and character, value for the price, and a significant contribution to the guest experience in the local area.

Among the 124 hotels in California that received Michelin Keys, 18 are located in the North Bay. These properties span Napa, Sonoma, and Marin counties, reflecting the region’s reputation for high-quality hospitality and unique accommodations.
