Shinsegae Property has announced a partnership with Aman to construct Seoul’s inaugural luxury hotel, marking Aman’s debut in South Korea. The new hotel will be situated in the Cheongdam-dong district of Gangnam, a prominent area in the capital.

The planned hotel will be located on a site covering approximately 6,500 square meters in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu. Shinsegae Property stated that the hotel will offer around 50 guest rooms, along with branded residences. The company expects the hotel to set a new standard for luxury hospitality in Seoul.
Partnership and Vision
Shinsegae Property and Aman signed a memorandum of understanding for the project. According to Shinsegae Property, the collaboration aims to introduce a new level of luxury accommodation to the city. An official from Shinsegae Property remarked, “We anticipate that the hotel will become a landmark in Seoul, attracting both domestic and international guests.”
Aman’s Expansion into Korea
Aman, a global luxury hotel brand, currently operates 34 hotels, resorts, and residences in 20 countries. The Seoul project represents Aman’s first venture in South Korea. Aman’s CEO, Vladislav Doronin, commented, “We are pleased to partner with Shinsegae Property to bring the Aman experience to Seoul.”
Timeline and Future Prospects
Construction of the hotel is scheduled to begin in 2024, with completion targeted for 2027. Shinsegae Property indicated that the project will include not only hotel accommodations but also luxury residences, retail spaces, and cultural facilities.
