The Otherland boutique hotel has officially opened its doors in Newfane, offering a new lodging option for visitors to the area. The hotel is located in the heart of the village and aims to provide guests with a unique and comfortable experience.
Situated at 15 West Street, the Otherland features nine guest rooms, each designed with a distinct style. The hotel occupies a renovated historic building, blending modern amenities with original architectural elements. Owners say the renovation process preserved much of the building’s character while updating the space for contemporary travelers.
“We wanted to create a place that feels both special and welcoming,” said co-owner Emily Blistein. “Our goal was to honor the history of the building and the community, while also offering something new for visitors and locals alike.”
The hotel includes a communal lounge area, a library, and a small café serving breakfast and light fare. According to the owners, the café will focus on locally sourced ingredients and seasonal offerings. The property also features outdoor seating and gardens for guests to enjoy.
Otherland’s opening comes as Newfane continues to attract tourists seeking small-town charm and access to outdoor recreation. The hotel’s location places guests within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and local attractions.
