A company with investment from former New York Yankees player Derek Jeter is moving forward with plans to construct a 68-room luxury hotel close to the University of Alabama campus.
Details of the Hotel Development
The new hotel, named The Standard at Tuscaloosa, is being developed by Arena Capital Group, a Miami-based real estate firm in which Jeter is a partner. The property will be located at 1401 6th Avenue, within walking distance of Bryant-Denny Stadium and other university facilities.
According to Arena Capital Group, the hotel will feature 68 rooms and suites, a rooftop bar, a restaurant, meeting spaces, and a fitness center. The company stated that the project is designed to provide high-end accommodations for visitors to the university and the surrounding area.
