Nobu Hospitality, co-founded by actor Robert De Niro, chef Nobu Matsuhisa, and film producer Meir Teper, has announced plans to develop a new luxury hotel and branded residences in the Algarve region of southern Portugal.
New Project in Southern Portugal
The upcoming Nobu Hotel and Residences Algarve will be situated in the coastal area of Albufeira, a destination known for its beaches and vibrant nightlife. The project will feature a five-star hotel, a Nobu restaurant, and a collection of branded residences. The development is scheduled to open in 2026.
Expansion of Nobu Hospitality
This initiative marks Nobu Hospitality’s first venture in Portugal. The company has been expanding its global presence, with properties in cities such as London, New York, Los Angeles, and Barcelona. The Algarve project is intended to cater to both international travelers and local residents seeking luxury accommodations and dining experiences.

Development Details
The project is being developed in partnership with local real estate firm JNcQUOI, which specializes in high-end hospitality and residential projects. The hotel will offer a range of amenities, including a spa, fitness center, and event spaces. The branded residences will provide private access to hotel services and facilities.
