Aman has inaugurated its first property in Mexico, introducing Amanvari on the east coast of the Baja California Peninsula. The resort is situated within the Costa Palmas development, which spans 1,000 acres and features two miles of beachfront along the Sea of Cortez.
Location and Setting
Amanvari is located in Baja’s East Cape, approximately a two-hour drive from Los Cabos International Airport. The resort is surrounded by desert landscapes and the Sierra de la Laguna mountains, offering guests a secluded environment with access to both mountains and sea.
Design and Accommodation
The resort features 20 standalone pavilions, each designed to provide privacy and views of the surrounding natural scenery. The casitas are elevated on stilts and include floor-to-ceiling windows, private pools, and expansive decks. The interiors are characterized by natural materials and a minimalist aesthetic, in keeping with Aman’s signature style.
Resort Amenities
Amanvari offers a range of amenities, including three dining venues, a spa, and a 30-meter infinity pool. The property also provides access to the Costa Palmas Golf Club, a Robert Trent Jones II-designed course, as well as a marina for yachting and water sports.
Activities and Experiences
Guests at Amanvari can participate in a variety of activities such as snorkeling, diving, fishing, and hiking in the nearby mountains. The resort also arranges excursions to local villages and nature reserves, allowing visitors to explore the region’s culture and biodiversity.
Future Developments
Amanvari is part of a broader expansion by Aman in the Americas, with additional projects planned in the region. The opening of this property marks a significant milestone for the brand as it continues to grow its global portfolio.
