A fire erupted in a room at a luxury hotel located on the Las Vegas Strip, prompting an emergency response from local fire crews on Saturday evening.
According to officials, the incident took place at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, a recently opened resort on the northern end of the Strip. The Clark County Fire Department reported that firefighters were dispatched to the scene shortly after 8:15 p.m. following reports of smoke and flames coming from a guest room on one of the upper floors.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel found a fire contained to a single room. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, preventing it from spreading to adjacent areas. The hotel was partially evacuated as a precaution while firefighters worked to control the situation.
No injuries were reported among guests or staff, according to fire officials. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Authorities have not released details regarding the extent of the damage to the affected room or the estimated cost of repairs.
The Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which opened its doors in December 2023, is one of the newest additions to the Strip and features more than 3,600 rooms and suites. The property is known for its upscale amenities and prominent location near the Las Vegas Convention Center.
