American Express has announced the addition of Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) as a new hotel transfer partner for its Membership Rewards program. This new partnership provides American Express cardholders with the option to transfer Membership Rewards points to LHW’s Leaders Club program.
Transfer Details and Conversion Rates
With this update, American Express users can now convert Membership Rewards points to Leaders Club points at a 1:1 ratio. This means that for every Membership Rewards point transferred, cardholders will receive one Leaders Club point. The minimum transfer amount is 1,000 points per transaction.

Leading Hotels of the World is a collection of more than 400 luxury hotels located in over 80 countries. The Leaders Club loyalty program allows members to redeem points for complimentary nights and other benefits at participating properties.
How to Transfer Points
To transfer points, American Express cardholders need to log in to their Membership Rewards account and select Leading Hotels of the World as the transfer partner. After linking their Leaders Club account, members can initiate a transfer in increments of 1,000 points.
