Formula 1, in partnership with LVMH, has introduced The Out Lap, a new hospitality initiative that offers guests Michelin-starred meals served on a flatbed truck as it travels along Grand Prix circuits.
Unique Dining Concept Debuts at Monaco Grand Prix
The Out Lap made its first appearance during the Monaco Grand Prix, providing attendees with the opportunity to enjoy gourmet cuisine while being driven around the famed street circuit. The dining experience is set on a custom-designed flatbed truck, allowing guests to take in views of the track as they dine.
Michelin-Starred Chefs and Curated Menus
The Out Lap features menus crafted by Michelin-starred chefs, with dishes inspired by the host city of each Grand Prix. The culinary team changes for each event, ensuring that the menu reflects local flavors and ingredients. During the Monaco Grand Prix, the menu was curated by chef Alain Ducasse, known for his multiple Michelin stars and expertise in French cuisine.
Exclusive Access and Limited Seating
The Out Lap experience is available to a select number of guests, with seating limited to maintain an intimate atmosphere. The initiative is designed to offer a unique perspective on Formula 1 racing, combining high-end dining with the excitement of the race circuit. Guests are transported around the track in the moving restaurant, providing a distinctive vantage point during the event.
Future Appearances Planned at Additional Grand Prix Events
Following its debut in Monaco, The Out Lap is scheduled to appear at other Grand Prix locations throughout the Formula 1 season. Each event will feature a different chef and menu, tailored to the local setting. Details on upcoming appearances and participating chefs are expected to be announced as the season progresses.
