Turning Stone Resort Casino has unveiled The Crescent, its newest hotel, and Salt Seafood & Raw Bar, a fine dining establishment, as part of a $400 million expansion project. The resort, located in Verona, New York, opened the doors to these additions on Thursday, offering a preview of the latest developments in its ongoing transformation.
The Crescent Hotel Debuts
The Crescent, a seven-story hotel, features 258 guest rooms and suites. The hotel’s design incorporates modern elements with a focus on comfort and luxury. The rooms are equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows, providing views of the surrounding landscape. Amenities include a fitness center, lounge areas, and direct access to the resort’s conference and event spaces.
Ray Halbritter, Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Turning Stone Enterprises CEO, stated, “The Crescent and Salt Seafood & Raw Bar represent the next step in our commitment to providing world-class experiences for our guests.”
Salt Seafood & Raw Bar Opens
Salt Seafood & Raw Bar, located adjacent to The Crescent, offers a menu centered around fresh seafood and raw bar selections. The restaurant’s interior features coastal-inspired décor, with an open kitchen and a raw bar display. The menu includes oysters, lobster, and other seafood dishes, as well as steak and vegetarian options.
Executive Chef Dustin Tuthill leads the culinary team at Salt. “We wanted to create a dining experience that highlights the best of seafood while also offering variety for all guests,” Tuthill said.
Expansion Project Details
The $400 million expansion at Turning Stone is the largest in the resort’s history. In addition to The Crescent and Salt, the project includes updates to existing facilities, new meeting spaces, and enhancements to the resort’s amenities. Construction began in 2022 and is expected to continue through 2025.
According to resort officials, the expansion is projected to generate hundreds of construction jobs and create more than 400 permanent positions upon completion.
Future Plans
Turning Stone’s expansion will also introduce new entertainment venues, retail outlets, and additional dining options in the coming years. The resort aims to strengthen its position as a premier destination in the region.
