A hotel located in Healdsburg has been named the top hotel in the United States, according to a recent ranking.
The Montage Healdsburg received the distinction from U.S. News & World Report, which released its annual list of the best hotels in the country on Tuesday. The publication evaluates thousands of luxury hotels based on factors such as industry awards, hotel star ratings, and user reviews.
Montage Healdsburg, situated in Sonoma County, opened its doors in December 2020. The property features 130 bungalow-style guest rooms and suites, a spa, and a variety of dining options. The hotel is set on 258 acres of vineyards and oak trees, offering guests a blend of natural surroundings and upscale amenities.
“We are honored to be recognized as the No. 1 hotel in the United States,” said Allen Highfield, general manager of Montage Healdsburg. “This achievement reflects the dedication of our team to providing exceptional experiences for our guests.”
U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 rankings evaluated more than 37,000 hotels across the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean. The publication’s methodology considers a combination of expert and guest feedback, as well as hotel class ratings.
Other California hotels featured in the top 10 include The Peninsula Beverly Hills and the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club. The full list of rankings is available on the U.S. News & World Report website.
