Three luxury hospitality brands—Waldorf Astoria, Aman, and Auberge Resorts Collection—have revealed plans to establish new properties in Texas Hill Country, signaling increased interest in the region’s hospitality sector.
New Developments Planned for Texas Hill Country
Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, a Hilton brand, has confirmed the development of Waldorf Astoria Residences Austin Hill Country. This property will be situated on a 375-acre site and is expected to feature 110 guest rooms and 33 private residences. The project is scheduled for completion in 2027.
Aman, an international luxury hotel group, has announced Amanvari Austin, which will be located on a 1,400-acre site near Lake Travis. The resort will include a hotel, branded residences, and a members’ club. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2024, with the opening date yet to be determined.
Auberge Resorts Collection has also disclosed plans for a new resort in the region. The project, named Bowie House, Auberge Resorts Collection, will be located in Fredericksburg, Texas. The resort will offer 100 guest rooms and suites, as well as private residences. Bowie House is expected to open in 2025.
Growing Interest in the Region
Texas Hill Country has seen a rise in luxury hospitality investments in recent years. The area, known for its scenic landscapes and proximity to Austin and San Antonio, has attracted both domestic and international visitors.
